The place is great! The food is always very good and they have an excellent choice. I am a soup lover; and ThaiFoon offers me many opportunities. And her tofu is fantastic in all soups? I always ask for it not to be fried. The servers are always professional, polite, understandable via the menu and always clean in appearance. In addition, the entire restaurant itself is always clean. My a real test of cleanliness?. I... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thaifoon Pittsburgh:
Two stars are a little generous. The spring rollers were greasy and the interior was frozen. They replaced the first order with the same state roles. Pad Thai was at least hot. The chicken was good, but the sauce in which the noodles were was brownish. Like a tomato sauce. I tried to add an extra chili oil to make it better, but it didn't help. Unfortunately not a place I would go back to. View all feedback.
Today I stopped for lunch after I made my hair next door. When I read the reviews, it seems to be under new management. It's my first time/experience there and I've always passed. So it could try. Dinner was moderate. Service might be better. My food lasted longer than it should be and it was not busy unless they have many takeouts, then I understand. My server was beautiful and attentive, but I think it's new? I threw a little on my table when I served and didn't have a notebook on her when I took my order, so I was worried when my design didn't come out earlier than expected. She also wore AirPods I think it's a bit unprofessional. Overall, I would like to give this place another chance and try something else on the menu. Sometimes you need to get the classics like Tom yum and Pad Thai????????
My sister and I met my cousin in Pittsburgh after over a decade and the three families decided to go here for dinner! Getting everyone aligned on going here took a bit of time and I called around 8 PM (they close at 9) to reserve a table for 12 at 8:30 PM! To my surprise they agreed to give us a table. Our whole party was seated at 8:30 PM and ALEXIS waited our table. In spite of the late reservation, she was sweet, friendly and patient with us. We made our best effort to efficiently place an order and the food started flowing in quickly. Portion sizes were good and all the food we ordered was delicious!! The Indonesian Fried Rice was the winner of that evening. Finally, Alexis took few pictures of the whole group and overall, it was a great experience. In spite of being a large party, making a reservation just before COB, on a Saturday night and, during the Jul 04 weekend, there were several things that could've gone wrong but Alexis was amazing. She gave us a great experience and made the evening memorable for us in the best way possible. Kudos to her and the team at ThaiFoon PGH!!
Great experience at ThaiFoon! I ordered the ThaiFoon Crispy Chicken and Coconut rice and it was AMAZING. A bit on the spicy side so be cautioned if you don't like spice. Also had Boba and it didn't disappoint either. Overall a really great experience and will surely dine here again.
Staff here is very friendly and down to earth. Our server was especially sweet, helpful, personable and eager to please. Their was a miscommunication between the kitchen and wait staff which resulted in us receiving the wrong food the first time. I wasn't bothered by this at all but the server and manager stopped over with sincere apologies making it right. The food was decent tasting coming out in super large portions. You'll definitely need a take out box here. Overall good dining experience.
We have been waiting almost 2 years to be able to Dine in again. It is under new management and updated decor.... The food was excellent as always..
