Who knew some of the best BBQ I would ever have was back home? Texas and NC are good, but I really would rather have Spork Pit. Forrest and Co. are top notch. Can't wait to go again. View all feedback.
What Michelle Smith dislikes about Spork Pit:
I visited this restaurant for the first time today and unfortunately, I was disappointed. The greens had an overpowering vinegar taste, making it hard to actually taste the greens themselves. The ribs were overly marinated as well, and the BBQ sauce tasted more like a marinade than a finishing sauce. I’m giving it a 3 because the presentation was nice and the overall food quality wasn't bad. I hope this was just an o... View all feedback.
Went with my wife and daughter for lunch and we all loved it. Had 1/4lb of all 5 meats, 2 sides and 3 drinks for $44 very reasonable pricing especially for the high quality. All the meats were really good, super moist, great flavor, tender and most importantly the smoke doesn't dominate the meats. Ribs are falling off the bone, turkey super moist, brisket lots of flavor and very tender, pulled pork was perfect but the sausage steals the show melts in your mouth. We had two sides Mac cheese and collard greens both good great flavoring on the collard greens. Congrats to Chris and Kevin on a job well done. We'll be back soon. Craving that sausage and pulled pork.
Fantastic service and a sultry atmosphere! I really appreciate the unique ordering method, and the drinks are spot on. But the food—especially the brisket—is something you absolutely must try. Not giving this place a chance would be a real missed opportunity. It’s bound to become your new favorite spot!
Picked up a whole brisket could not have been happier . The guys working at the smoker were friendly, and informative.Gave us tips on cutting and heating the 4.7# vacuum sealed brisket. This will not be our last trip to the lot.
Understandably low on inventory the night before closing for 2 days, but having grown up in Western NY, the Brisket on Weck might be one of the best sandwiches I?ve had in Pittsburgh. I will be back!
This was my first time there today. I was disappointed. The greens taste like they were soaked in vinegar. I couldn?t taste the greens. The ribs were over marinaded, and the bbq sauce taste like a marinade in and of itself. I?m giving a 3 because thepresentation was nice and the quality of the food was not bad. Hopefully this was an off day.
