The hefeweizen and dunkel beers were good. The bratwurst was excellent, but the schnitzel was terrible; it definitely shouldn’t be deep-fried in old oil. The spaetzle was mediocre, and the bier cheese mixed with it was just okay. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived, it took about 15 minutes for the lone waitress—or management, I’m not sure who—to acknowledge us, even though she was sitting at the table right behind us. Our order took around 20 minutes to arrive, so I’m glad we ordered food along with our beer. By the time we left, the place was packed with a mix of regulars and a couple of tour groups. I felt lucky we weren’t part of the group of eight that was just arriving.
This was our first visit, and it was fantastic! The staff were outstanding, the food and beer were excellent, and the architecture and atmosphere were stunning. Highly recommended! Stefan Wolfgang Nitsch: We had a great experience and will certainly come back!
I absolutely loved this place! We stopped by to wait out the traffic from the Steelers game, and it truly gave off an authentic European vibe. The owner was fantastic, and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend it—11/10!
It wasn't my top choice for a brewery, but I had a nice time. I don't mean to offend, but I can hardly recall what I ordered to eat and drink. The staff was fantastic, though!
The staff here is amazing—hardworking and friendly! I really enjoy watching football at the bar on Sundays with my friends while ordering delicious game day food. The atmosphere at Penn feels more vibrant than ever with all the positive changes and great energy. Keep up the fantastic work!
