What a wonderful and relaxing experience in this treasure. The selection of artisanal beers, the music and the food added the old wood hewn atmosphere together with friendly and attentive bar holders. This is a must in a landmark tour of Pittsburgh. View all feedback.
Decent beer selection, delicious food, and bluegrass Wednesdays! Oldest bar in the 'burgh. Ya gotta go. Get the chicken satay with a side of fries, you won 't regret it. Comes with the best peanut sauce on the side. I think the secret ingredient is crack, cause I 'm addicted!
Great beer selection. Good live music. I hear that the food is good but, even though I've been here a lot, I've never tried. Not a sports bar, by any means, but I've had as much fun watching a Pens game with the crowd as I've had anywhere in the city.
Excellent falafel combined with dive bar experience while listening to bluegrass. Odd combo? You bet, but it works like a charm. Don't forget about the free popcorn and peanuts too. The only reason I am giving a four instead of a five is because the draft selection is typically weak and, while endearing at times, the narrow nature of the place can make it almost too crowded to function during a performance.
Always one of my favorite places to go, in part for the Falafel Master himself. And the popcorn. And amazing fries. And great beer selection. And good tunes. And pretty much everything else.
I've passed this place numerous times but finally went in last night with some friends for a quick bite. We were all thoroughly pleased with the great food and friendly customer service. The owner Zamir, aka Z man, was super friendly and remembered all three of our names after just meeting us once. He and the waiter were both very helpful and made our experience very pleasant. I got a gyro and it was delicious. The tavern atmosphere was cozy and seating was comfortable. I will definitely be going back with some more friends.
