Panera Bread - Pittsburgh
Panera Bread
Description
The dining experience at this restaurant presents a mixed bag of offerings. While the food has drawn criticism for inconsistency and overpriced items, the restaurant shines with its cleanliness, friendly staff, and accommodating options for various dietary needs. However, service efficiency appears hit-or-miss, especially during peak times. Occasional challenges with availability of certain ingredients and order fulfillment can leave customers disappointed. Despite these setbacks, the atmosphere, music, and reasonable takeout options make it a viable choice for a night out or quick meal. With some improvement in management and service, this establishment could elevate its reputation significantly.

Soup was cold ordered 2 of same soups 1 was OK the 2nd was cold and watered down
They didn't have any bread for the soup I ordered. PANERA BREAD HAD NO BREAD!?!?!?! Asked for a chocolate chip bagel, they gave me a blueberry bagel! They never get the order right so I've stopped going there.
To be honest, I haven 't been to Panera since before Covid, and had never been to this one, but if this is any indication, they sure have changed. Used to be like walking in to a bakery.. This was like walking in to a semi deserted fast food joint. A couple of ordering screens at the front, a couple of registers, and an occasional employee, with a bread rack visible. No more rows of fresh baked stuff. Oh, and an aisle off to the right where you go to pick up your food when it 's ready. And that sure took a while. Was there with a friend. Was never a big fan always thought it was a little pretentious with supposedly healthy sandwiches, soups and salads and stuff. But always seemed relatively decent. WAY downhill. Got a chicken sandwich which come out about 15 minutes later with a bag of chips. On a bun covered in mayo and grease. Was reasonably hot. They had no idea about my iced coffee but he then told me I could get it from a dispenser next to the soda machine. My friend had gotten a sammy and soup, and some coffee drink which they also forgot, and he had to make it up just then. I WILL say that the employee at the counter was very courteous when I asked where to go to pick up the food after ordering on the screen he asksd very kindly if he could be of any more help. Kudos, but overall not a pleasant experience at all. And WAY overpriced!
Not worth going through the drive thru! You will wait! Honestly gave it one star because it's the lowest of low.
