Hands down the best pancakes in any city you could visit. I have had pancakes at many restaurants up and down the east coast as it is my favorite breakfast staple in every major city NYC, DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Charleston, etc. and simply none come close. I always make time to stop at Pamela's when I am in Pittsburgh. Oakland location was nice, clean, and service staff was amazing!
We heard that this restaurant is a must-visit for breakfast, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Be ready for a crowd, as we were placed on a waitlist before we could get in. The waitress was fantastic, and although the food took a while to arrive, it was worth the wait.
This charming spot is perfect for breakfast and lunch. I tried the spinach and feta omelet, and it was delicious. The pancakes are enormous, and the California French toast is delightful.
This place was fantastic! We visited while checking out Pitt, and most of the dining options in the area were quick-service places favored by students. This was one of the few sit-down options for breakfast. The menu featured typical diner fare, nothing overly fancy, but the food was excellent and the service was incredibly friendly. I appreciated how the staff worked together, ensuring that someone was always available to check on us. The potatoes, pancakes, waffles, and coffee were all delicious. It was conveniently located within walking distance from our hotel and the university, so I can't speak to the parking situation if you decide to drive. The prices were reasonable too. I highly recommend it!
