5 stars for just this cake alone. It far exceeded my expectations. We also ordered catering, and just about everyone asked where we got the chicken tenders from. The ease of placing the order online and having the cake ready for pickup with the catering was the cherry on top. I would recommend them for any and every party! View all feedback.
What Nikki Simpson doesn't like about Market District Supermarket Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
I used to love this place, but a lot of their fruit is always molded. I have wasted a good bit of money and got home and had to throw the whole container of fruit away, and food isn't cheap! I was just recently there, and ALL of the organic cherries were modeled except 1 container. They are always out of a lot of things I used to buy there all the time as well View all feedback.
Bakery customer service was great! Front desk customer could use some work.
Very large store with a lot of selection! The restroom area on 2nd floor Cafe seating area is considerably cleaner/bigger than the 2 near the registers on the 1st floor. The restroom near the pharmacy is only for 1 person, but it definitely needs to be cleaned more often!
You can find some other things here that you can’t at a normal giant eagle, but it’s nothing special tbh. I will say, inspect fruit before buying it. Strawberries were on sale…turns out there was MOLD in each package. Good thing I inspected. It’s honestly disgusting to try to sell that to people when there’s mold on it and you all really should be ashamed of yourselves. I would’ve told an associate but it seems almost impossible at times to find someone walking around. But it seems like when I use self checkout, they all come out from hiding. I was watched closely by employees more than once when checking out. Can’t help but think it was race motivated. I’ll have you all know that I don’t steal and I make more than enough to afford your overpriced groceries. I’m the daughter of a retired state police and even if I wasn’t, my skin color doesn’t make me a criminal. Smh. Lastly, I always put my cart in a corral or give it to someone collecting the carts. I gave it to the associate who was walking towards me anyways to come get my cart, and he just gives me a dirty look takes the cart and doesn’t say a word. I loudly said to him YOU’RE WELCOME. I guess he wanted me to make his job harder and just leave it in the parking lot somewhere. Please, do better.
As the flagship store this place is awful. Compared to other giant eagles, it’s acceptable. Compared to any other major grocery chain, GE just doesn’t even compete. The store starts closing down way too early, fish counter, bakery, meat counter all close well before the store does. Even the main outer doors are lockers at 830 while the stores open until 11. Managers cited low staffing but that’s a choice the store makes. If you have to shop toward the end of the day none of the shelves are restocked and almost no one to ask about anything. Do better or go under when wegmans or meijer opens up. And of course, gouging prices have continued despite announcements by GE to lower prices. Last thing, perks has changed for the worse. No employees know how it works but it is much less than the past.
We don't have stores like this where I'm from so it's nice to go here from time to time.
