Was Kristy A at Dancing Gnome a mag?
The venue is lovely, featuring a charming outdoor area. The staff was friendly, and the establishment was clean. Since I can't have carbonated drinks, breweries usually aren't ideal for me. However, they did offer one non-carbonated choice—a vodka cocktail in a can. While it may not seem like much, it’s a welcome option when most places don't offer anything at all. I deducted one star for the limited parking and the... View all feedback.
What Mary Kay dislikes about Dancing Gnome:
The beer is great, but the place is too crowded and uncomfortable for my liking. There are better options in Pittsburgh where I can enjoy equally fantastic beer while being more at ease. View all feedback.
Wonderful time celebrating friends birthday here! It was my first time visiting and we had a great experience! There was lots of parking spots in the lot so parking wasn't an issue when I arrived. We came on a Thursday night and there were great food options at the food truck. Everyone enjoyed their waffle fries and burgers! The outdoor seating area looked like a great place to enjoy in warmer weather. Inside there was a variety of seating at low and high top tables and at the bar. Whenever we went to order our drinks the staff were very friendly and helpful. We never had to wait long for drinks either. The staff members also were very good at coming around to clean tables and take our empty drink glasses away. There is a large variety of beer on tap so everyone can find something they enjoy! Overall a great experience here!
Excellent beer, a lovely patio with a great atmosphere, no dogs allowed, and Pittsburgh sports playing on the projector. It's the top choice for beer in Pittsburgh!
As for drinks, the only in-house brew I tried was the Tentacle Squad, an IPA with hints of tropical fruit. I also enjoyed a can of Arsenal Cider, as I’m not an avid beer drinker and don’t typically favor IPAs, the specialty of Dancing Gnome. I know, it may seem odd to visit a brewery if you’re neither a frequent beer drinker nor an IPA enthusiast. However, I’m always open to trying local breweries at least once, and my friend and I were eager to sample some of the food available that day! While Dancing Gnome doesn’t have its own kitchen, it hosts food trucks, and the highlight last weekend was Blowfish BBQ. They were incredible! My friend and I ordered a brisket sandwich and their brisket mac and cheese. Wow. I had tried Blowfish BBQ before, but having a full meal took it to the next level; both the brisket and the mac and cheese were outstanding! I left feeling full and satisfied, and I would definitely return to Dancing Gnome in the future. The atmosphere is fantastic, and I’m eager to try their German Gose, ideally paired with delicious offerings from another food truck—or Blowfish BBQ if I get lucky and find them there again!
Great place! Fantastic beer! I was a bit let down that there weren't any cans available for takeout, but with beer this good, I understand why.
