Butterjoint is a cozy bar and restaurant situated in North Oakland. Our inviting and diverse ambiance is perfect for any occasion, whether you're meeting a friend for drinks, celebrating a special event, or unwinding after a long day at work. Our menu features a blend of traditional Pittsburgh dishes like pierogies, hamburgers, and French fries, along with French bistro classics such as beef tartare, raclette, and mussels. This was my first visit at Butterjoint. I was not impressed. They have a limited menu and feature local foods, which is a plus in my opinion. However, the food and cocktail did not meet my expectations. The sauerkraut was very too sauer (like vinegar), the few green beans were too oily and the pierogis were just ok. The biggest disappointment was the cheesecake, that was completely burned on the top. Will not go back... View all feedback.

Visited on recommendation of a professor, clean environment and delicious food!
Fun, playful menu but the food is no joke. Was seated in bar area and was an enjoyable experience.
