Ace's Deuce's - Pittsburgh
Ace's Deuce's
Description
Nestled in the vibrant Hill District, this dive bar offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly bartenders and a diverse clientele. Patrons appreciate the delicious food and impressive drink selection, though prices can be higher than average. The music selection, featuring a jukebox, adds to the ambiance, but there's a call for live performances. While the setting is generally quiet during the day, the evening atmosphere draws a lively crowd. Ideal for both family meals and a night out with friends, this bar stands out for its attentive service and unique character.
Feedback
A neighborhood bar Uptown near Mercy Hospital. Very stiff drinks at inexpensive prices. I have been here twice now and though this is apparently a.bar with mainly black customers, I , myself, am white as the driven snow and felt comfortable and welcome both times I was gifted a nice calendar of Norman Rockwell Paintings today. Hey those should have been just for the tegular customer but he was good to me and gave me one. Quiet in the daytime. A security guard comes in around five and I don't know what the night is like here.
Nicky, the bartender, was incredibly friendly. They enforced social distancing, and the food was delicious. Everyone was wearing masks, which was reassuring. I also enjoyed the music selection on the jukebox!
It's a dive bar situated in the lower level of the Hill District, an area formerly referred to as the Red Light District. Whatever you're looking for, you'll likely find it along that stretch of 5th Avenue.
I left a $10 tip on a $3 drink. This place would really benefit from having live jazz or rap musicians once a week. The jukebox is great, but let's not let it replace live talent!
