As always the food and wait staff were great HOWEVER we were never told that the menu on 12/31 was only fixed price even when I called and spoke to someone to confirm... not happy about that. Other people came in and when seated and confronted with the limited menu left. A 5 6 course meal is not how either of us eat and of course we ate the fabulous food the next night as well I just dont think it fair to drop this on people Thanks fore listening Tom
Scarpetta greeted us with a chic interior and stunning front seat view of Rittenhouse Square. The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish bursted with flavor and received only compliments from the table from spaghetti with meatballs to the squid ink pasta which were indulgent. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, making you feel like a valued guest. Scarpetta delivered on exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and an ambiance that makes you want to linger, which we did of course!
Visited their place in NYC in October and loved it so decided to try here. Very disappointed in everything- service, ambiance, food quality. Given how many great Italian places there are in Philly I’m surprised they’re still in business
Strong start courteous, attentive hostess, good ambience, excellent view. Variety of breads and toppings, all delicious. Salad, mains, sides, all delicious. Service and food quality fell off at the end leaving us confused and disappointed. Water glasses were left empty for nearly half an hour, dessert was offered clumsily and was pretty poor quality, and we were essentially abandoned after dessert was delivered. It's a shame, like I said, such a strong start. But you can't have a weak finish for $50 100 pp
