Thank you. midnight iris!
We have been here a few times and it is consistently an A+. We love the Veggie burger, fries, salad, desserts AND the special cocktails. The ambience is very comfortable and the staff is welcoming. It’s a neighborhood gem!
An old Philly hangout from the 70s. Food was good. Server was engaging. Atmosphere “interesting.” Not what we expected from the gallery pix.
I was recommended Keen by a friend, so for our first dinner in Philly, we decided to try it out. It did not disappoint. The service was great and the Moscow Mule cocktail was delicious. We started off with the mushroom rice balls with celery sage pesto, which had nice flavors and came in a good portion size of 5 rice balls. We couldn't resist trying the PIG CANDY, which was lean maple glazed bacon. We also got to sample new items that will be added to the spring menu - 2 salads that were both unique. One was a spring asparagus salad with watermelon radish, cooked perfectly with a nice crispness. The other was a spicy raw broccoli salad with spring mix, sprouts, lacto fermented rhubarb, and a house made hot sauce vinaigrette, which had a great combination of textures and flavors. We also tried the pork tacos, which had a mustard rubbed roast pork with chipotle aioli, mango, black bean salsa, pickled red onion, and cilantro, giving it a nice kick. Each dish was carefully prepared and served, and we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal without feeling rushed. Keen is a hidden gem that we will definitely be returning to.
