Description

Nestled in the heart of the community, this local fish and chip shop has garnered a loyal following for its consistently tasty fare and welcoming atmosphere. However, recent visits have sparked mixed reviews, with some disappointments in the quality of the food, particularly with undercooked chips and off-flavored batter. Despite these concerns, many patrons still praise the friendly service and cleanliness of the establishment. While some express nostalgia for better days, others champion its delicious offerings, including an acclaimed fish scone. For those seeking a quintessential chippy experience, this spot remains a popular choice worth considering.

The fish and chips at this restaurant were cooked perfectly, with a crispy batter and delicious chips. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, making it a great place to visit. There are plenty of options to choose from, with affordable deals that make it appealing to everyone. The service is quick and efficient, so you won't have to wait long for your meal. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again without hesitation.

The restaurant is not as good as it used to be, so I will not be returning.

I have been a loyal customer of this fish and chip shop for years. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great. The food used to be impeccable, but since the new owners took over, the quality has declined. The chips tasted strange, almost earthy, and the fish, although the batter was good, was undercooked inside. It lacked the white, fluffy texture it used to have and was even slimy in parts. I tried a piece of the fish, but ended up throwing it away. I was disappointed with my meal, especially considering it cost over £15. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.

“Freshly prepared food and lovely staff. You may wait a while but it's definitely worth the wait. You can also ring ahead to place your order.”

Probably worst chips and gravy curry ever had. Chips tasted like they had been warmed up. Ordered large chips and gravy and large chips and curry to find out only had been given small portions of each. Next to nothing of both the gravy or the curry on. Very dry. Very disappointing.
