More like touch of ass... April 1, 2022...every restaurant is packed. We can't get a seat anywhere due to a show at the paramount. Whiskey River, Rubens, Gleasons, Birdsall, Iron Vine...no seats available. I remember there is never anyone at touch of class so we go check it out and it was empty. Two other tables were occupied when we walked in. A women from the back of the restaurant came forward with a miserable look on her face and I said we'd like a table for two and she grunted and pointed to a table and left us with menus. I watched her as she checked on the other two table but never even looks back over at us. After 15 minutes she walked by and makes eye contact with me, same look of misery on her face and ignores us. I've never felt more unwanted in an establishment in my life. After 25 minutes of no drink order, no nothing we walked out. I always wondered to myself why is this restaurant always empty when the others nearby are booming, and now I know. Never again.

We went in and it's a nice coz... read more My girlfriend and I visited Touch of Class last night. My girlfriend is from the Carribean and she wanted to try this restaurant. We went in and it's a nice cozy restaurant with strains of Bob Marley in the background. It had a nice vibe. We were shown to our table and provided menus. My girlfriend asked if they had oxtail, which you would generally expect but they did not and in fairness it was not on the menu. I ordered the scallops with coconut polenta of the menu, which sounded delicious. I was told that they didn't have any scallops. I ultimately ordered the shrimp and curry and my girlfriend settled on a steak with rice and peas. The food was delicious and was presented beautifully. We had a nice time eating and talking. The server wasn't very attentive and it took some work to get her attention. That aside it was a good experience until ... they brought the check. The restaurant charged a 4% service fee to pay with a credit card. Restaurants pay credit card companies a 2% 2.5% interchange fee per transaction, so Touch of Class was not only passing that along they were also taking an additional 2%. I wasn't happy about it and I let them know. All in, the food was excellent, the service was mediocre but the fee charge was unacceptable. Not sure we'll go back.
