Was User at Spins Hudson a mag?
We had a great time overall! The arcade had some exciting games, although the space felt a bit cramped. The laser tag was a highlight and really enjoyable. However, the burgers we ordered were medium rare. If you prefer your burgers well done, be sure to let them know when you order. Aside from that, we had a wonderful experience! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Spins Hudson:
Spins is a fantastic place, and I was thrilled to learn that they offer axe throwing, which I had never tried before. When it was time to start, I informed the staff that it was my first time, but unfortunately, there was no guidance provided. I was simply told to throw the axe. On a positive note, both the arcade and the outdoor bar/restaurant are lovely, but I would recommend trying axe throwing at a different venu... View all feedback.
We went to Spins Hudson for a birthday party, and it was our first time at this location. The venue is filled with arcade games for everyone to enjoy, plus there's air hockey and a pool table! They also have an indoor ropes course, with an outdoor option suitable for all skill levels. The indoor rock climbing wall offers various difficulty levels. There's a full-service bar and plenty of food options. We enjoyed pizza, wings, and fries. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas available. Additionally, they have options for axe throwing and laser tag, which adds to the fun!
If you overlook the litter on the ground and the overflowing trash in the bathroom, the place isn't too terrible. However, they really need a new management team to come in and evaluate the establishment with fresh perspectives. The food and the waitstaff both require significant improvement. I've visited three times now, and each visit has been progressively worse. The person responding to all the positive reviews should also take the time to address the negative feedback. Additionally, the games should be functional, which also suggests that the staff needs to be more engaged. A serious conversation about enhancing the atmosphere and training the staff is long overdue. I regret not taking pictures, but it was just disappointing to see such a promising venue for young people performing so poorly!
After discussing the situation with management, we decided to let the kids go to the arcade first and then access the room once it was ready. I requested that the arcade credit cards for the kids be prepared in advance, as we had 19 children in total, including my son. When the kids started arriving shortly before 3 PM, I explained the situation and that we were trying to sort out the cards so they could start playing. Unfortunately, there were computer issues, and they still hadn’t gotten the cards ready. Given that I had confirmed the number of kids beforehand, I was very frustrated that the cards weren’t prepared. By 3:30 PM, I spoke to them again and still had no resolution. At that point, I had 19 kids with no access to the party room (which was empty but not cleaned) staring at the arcade games. Some parents had resorted to buying their own arcade cards for their children; it was quite embarrassing. Out of desperation, I decided to purchase 19 cards at the kiosk, each loaded with $30, totaling $570. Once we finally got into the room, the focus turned to food. I had ordered extra food, but the party host was unaware of it. Thankfully, they were able to add the extra items and serve them alongside the kids’ meals. In the end, this party cost me $750, and it was certainly not worth it. While they did offer the kids additional arcade credits to make up for the issues, I firmly believe I should not have had to pay full price for this experience.
Me and my family visited a few days ago. We signed up for the indoor climbing area. The course workers were more then welcoming and made our time very pleasant. A special thanks to them. These boys were extremely helpful and made sure that everyone had a good time and insured safety. Although one of the workers was beside himself and threw his harness against the desk after a small dispute with another employee, to see something like that was very concerning and unprofessional. Other than that we enjoyed our time in the arcade and had a blast. The location is amazing and had a beautiful sunset on the waterfront. 10/10 will be coming back! :
For MGMT clean this place up. There is trash everywhere. Broken games. Claw games without prizes. More rubber ducks than alcohol behind the bar. The bathroom has trash overflowing. The prize collect station has many missing tags to show how much the toys are worth in tickets. You should play some music to set a vibe and get people to stay. It's not hard, just needs the right manager to put the team in place. We were hoping to stay for a while and have dinner here. However my cousins who were visiting from out of town were so turned off by the mess and therefore didn't want to eat or stay here.
