Ihop in Payson is the worst. Service is terrible. The lady manager is not a people friendly at all. She is disrespectful towards several customers and doesn't seem to care either. I was listening to her talking to the customers comaining at the register. Inmy case, we waited 35 minutes and never got someone to take our order. There were only 4 tables occupied. It was 1:05pm onTuesday afternoon. Not busy what excuses do they have to take so long or for us to be ignored. I worked in restaurant for 10years as a Manager and General Manager. So I somewhat have a bit of knowledge in the business to say the least. Poor leadershipand managent. There were 4 waitresses too. The date was 6/28/22 from 1:05pm-1:40pm. First and last time. I stood and ask her howcome we sat here for 35 minutes and never got our order taken? The waitress said, not sure! She turned to another lady and saidthat's the manager. Then she said: These people been seating here for 35 minutes and never got their order taken. And themanager said: No way! I said that's all you can say? Wow! Now I know why you don't hardly have any customers in here. Have agood day! All 4 of us walked out and she never even said another word!

Slowest IHOP ever! We've been here several times, why we keep coming back..I don't know! One experience we waited 45 minutes for our food to get to the table. Other times, 30+. Today, not only did it take 10 minutes to get sat, 30 more to get our food, thepancakes were burnt, and COLD! As we're the eggs. Should I have to ask the waitress 4 times for creamer, and still not get any?So frustrated.

I ordered the patty melt, but the cheese still had some paper on it. There were five of us in our group, and we waited over an hour to be seated, despite many empty tables. Only two of us got our correct orders, and nobody came to refill our drinks.

In our case, we waited 35 minutes without anyone taking our order, despite there being only four occupied tables. This was at 1:05 PM on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn’t exactly busy. I don’t understand what excuse they had for the long wait and for completely ignoring us. Having worked in the restaurant industry for ten years as both a Manager and General Manager, I have a good understanding of what should be expected in such situations. The lack of leadership and management was evident here. There were four waitresses on duty, and our visit on June 28th, 2022, around 1:40 PM, will be our first and last. After twenty minutes, I approached the manager to ask why we had been waiting so long without anyone taking our order. The waitress didn’t have an answer and pointed out the manager to me, who was informed that we had been sitting there for 35 minutes with no service. The manager simply replied, “No way!” and that was it. I asked if that was all she could say, and at that point, it became clear why this place had so few customers. In the end, all four of us decided to leave, and the manager didn’t utter another word to us. It was a frustrating experience overall.

Eventually, they took my order, but I then experienced an excessively long wait for my food. By the time my meal arrived, the patrons who were seated after me had already finished and were ready to leave. When my food did come, it was quite disappointing. The cheese fries were topped with processed cheese slices instead of the usual shredded cheese, and they were hard and not enjoyable. Overall, I spent at least two hours there. The only positive note of the experience was that my waitress was very pleasant, in contrast to many of the other staff members who seemed ill-equipped for their jobs. I won’t be coming back to this restaurant; it clearly needs better management and a completely new team. I’m not sure what went wrong, as this place used to be quite good.
