There wasn't anything criminally wrong with this place, even if I think my drink should have been blended together a little better.
After being to this location for dozens of times , had the most horrific experience today with employee Jen. I just asked for no ice for my drink, and the nice male employee asked if it were short, what I want in. I just said all the Jamba Juice I been to they usually just put extra fruit, but half/half mango/ sherbet probably makes it even and would be nice. When I saw he added extra sherbet, and the usual three scoops of mango, I asked if he can add a bit of mango. The whole point is no imbalance from original formula. Jen interjected and said I should be charged .75, and if everyone is like me, the business loses money and it is the same as STEALING. Wow... I told her for 50+ times I ordered from Jamba Juice, employees just add a little extra, but when asked, in response asking for something to be normal proportion, now I am equivalent to a thief as well as causes the business to collapse- that is way inappropriate and over. How could one humiliate a customer like this and the decade plus experiences with Jamba Juice, all of them are handling inappropriately and cause business to lose money, but she is right? Then, if it is about 0.75 cents, I gave her a 1 but she should never put down a customer this way. When the power play and superior rightful complex did not play out as she expected, she suddenly turned to playing victim and claimed that I throw money at her and said she felt uncomfortable. How about the customer's comfort with the machine gun series of accusation from asking for .75, to stealing in front of other customers and employee??!! This is the most absurd experience I ever had. I just wanted to explain my reasons , how it led there, she misunderstood, the original intention was that things to be in same proportion, and not be called a thief. But some people must win and put others, even customers in the wrong, so now instead of superior in the right, which didn't play out as she expected, she was then victim and being thrown at- no matter what, the customer is in the wrong . Omg, nothing one can say to get her back off mistreating /disrespecting the customer, as she claimed the one being disrespected the whole time. I am speechless and hope management can be more mindful of employees' psyche and superior complex that supersede customer service and understanding. If it were about money, I would not have tipped as well as give a dollar more. If I were to throw money at her, I would throw it at her face, not put it on the counter. I was frustrated at her not listening and lack of self reflection but I was not mad. Yet I won't take any of her misbehavior. It is just jaw dropping for ppl who forget their original intention and obligation in service industry. Not for one second did it ever cross her mind, how her razor sharp words would make any customer feel, especially a loyal repeated patron. I feel bad for the male employee watching on the side. And I am sorry I put you in difficult position if you ever read this... Also throughout the years, I see the cup of Jamba Juice is less filled than before. It was never like this first three years. The two drinks I saw Jen made for earlier customers have a big gap of at least 3-5 tablespoons off, on the side, facing me , not the customer, she was chatting with customer while the juicer still has a big patch of juice. it is just very unpleasant to see employee only care about pretense, and when caught and confronted for once, inverting situations. she should never go that angle to any customer, it was inappropriate, then cry victim to escape accountability of previous attacks, unwilling to take a second look at what she said to a customer in the first place. This is how any business lose customers, the horrific self absorbed employees that must be right and put themselves above others and assuming everyone is taking advantage of them or the system, for a 9 drink! Best Acai smoothie made compared to other Jamba Juice stores. I love the app as it gives me fast service or options to pick up later, and options to substitute ingredients to get accurate orders (w my allergies to strawberries). This restaurant offers the best acai smoothie I've tried compared to other Jamba Juice locations. I really appreciate using the app because it provides quick service, lets me pre-order for pick-up, and allows me to customize my order to avoid allergens like strawberries. They also have tasty acai bowls that are great for kids who love a mix of fruits.
