delicious, healthy eating with not too long waiting time. I enjoyed the ambiente and how easy it was to order and sit our food. I also appreciated the wide range if vegetarian and vegan options. I felt satisfied after eating without blowing or complaining. i?ve noticed that the meat dishes and the brot tasted somewhat dry, but otherwise it was good for the price and the received portions. After they didn't come here for a while, they reworked their menu. Other choices including different Entrées and pages. We ordered grass fed steak (it is on a dry side) w rosemary spices and carrots beet, and sea bass w avocado flower flower rice. A reasonable price for Sunday dinner. View all feedback.
I ordered the Grilled Steak and French Fries and it was delicious. The steak was served cold, which was unexpected, but it ended up being delicious when added to the salad. The portion size was generous and I was able to enjoy some with every bite. The fries were also tasty, salty, and flavorful. Despite being 40 minutes away, they were still crispy, perhaps due to the packaging.
The grass-fed beef is phenomenal! Every time we order from urban plates, it is a winner. Love the beet salad with goat cheese, too!
Urban Plates, where have you been my whole life!! Great food, great service, great prices! The Steak sandwich is really masterpiece of aromas and textures that deserves a place on the menu in the sky. Now that I have your attention, let me tell you the story of our first visit to Urban Plates. It was a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening with a big party of 30-50 people. The birthday boy arranged with management to reserve a whole section of the dining area for our group. I don't think they really take reservations so it was nice to take us. That said the kitchen and the staff were really at their game. Even if they were completely muddled with orders, our food was delivered to our table in less than ten minutes. Thanks to these guys and Gals for good service. I ordered the steak sandwich with an additional side of Macn cheese and my wife ordered the chicken tong plates. By the way, a comfort eating favorite of her since childhood. We were both very impressed by the quality of food at such a reasonable price. Really an experience for the joy of eating. My wife is very pleased to try the hot chicken at our next visit. Personally, if there was a competition for the best steak sandwich in Pasadena, the chimichurri Steak sandwich at Urban Plates could hit the very popular beef-dip sandwich at the high end of the road directly. Very high quality food for a very reasonable price. I don't often give a five-star rating when it comes to restaurants. What I love about Urban Plates is the quality of food and value. The food was fast and most important, DELICIOUS!!!! Well worth the experience and I would say better than Tender Greens.
Great gluten-free experience. Remember the checkout to remove the bread as it comes on the dish on the Entrée itself. Large vegan and vegetarian options.
