A very quick and inexpensive dinner. The Chinese style fillet steak was beautiful and tender and quantities provided were huge! One main dish with a small fried rice fed two of us with leftovers! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chong Hing:
Typical 1960s Aussie suburbs chinese food. Edible but only if you're starving. Funny, we read other reviews with comments such as romantic - well if you like flourescent lights and plastic table cloths - and fantastic food - I've no idea what it is being compared too. Anyway, the staff were nice and it was clean enough and pretty much the only option available on a Sunday evening. View all feedback.
First visit to Parkes and was unsure where to eat. Stumbled across this Chinese gem. Food was scrumptious with very generous servings and it was moderately priced. Service was very efficient plus the staff were very obliging and friendly. If you are in Parkes and love Chinese food, don’t hesitate to visit this restaurant.
Worst Chinese we’ve had in years. No flavour. Very bland and generally black bean and Mongolian is nice. Won’t be back. Ours was take away.
Sunday lunch time, food is great! Host is friendly, environment is clean! And the cooking speed is super fast !
We tried this place on our first visit to Parkes, we weren't disappointed. We ordered several dishes for take away after traveling all day. The staff were friendly, the service quick, the serves were the most generous seen in a long time and all the dishes were flavoursome with quality ingredients. The black bean beef was exceptional. Prices were on par with other similar restaurants. We didn't dine in, but although looking a little dated, the establishment interior looked clean and comfortable. Well worth a visit
Well this is my first time to this restaurant and it will be my last. I ordered the stuffed chicken wing which had some weird filling, bits of bbq pork and shrimp and god knows what else. Then I ordered the Singapore noodle which was absolutely awful, bland with unrecognisable pieces of thinly sliced meat which could have been pork luncheon meat absolute shocker. The plus side being the staff are friendly and I guess my opinion of Chinese restaurants in country towns remains unchanged. Avoid like the plague
