I was a little hesitant getting my morning coffee in a remote regional town, however the team at The Pink Orchid surpassed my expectations of the central west. The place was quiet considering the service and excellent quailty of their products but I gather this was due to being off the main street and a bit out of the way of the locals. The cakes were all tasty, my mum had the cheesecake and cannot wait to go back, w... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pink orchid cafe:
The food is fabulous - best friands around. The coffee is good too. But it would be nice if the barista greeted us when we arrive! She was making coffees but could easily have said welcome instead of ignoring 5 people standing at the counter....More View all feedback.
We waited a long time for our meals at lunchtime today. When they came the meat in both meals was very clearly undercooked. The staff were good when we brought this to their attention and were prepared to make us a sandwich instead (we were in a hurry to get going). It was disappointing.
I moved to Parkes from Orange a few years back and wasn’t sure if I’d find a place that served good coffee. I’d tried a few places and most seemed to be hit and miss. The Pink Orchard however serves consistently good coffee made by friendly and obliging staff. I sometimes order with the Hey You App and the coffee is always exactly how I ask for it. A very good range of gluten free cakes/slices and light lunches. Adjoining is a florist where you can purchase reasonably priced flowers for that special someone. Plenty of parking around, clean restrooms and inside/outside dining.
Great place to have a light meal, morning or afternoon tea, with a small group. Floris environment makes it special.
Had morning tea here 2 times now with my Daughter in law, grand daughter and my 94 year old mum, so we had the age covered with opinions, we are coming back, we love the coffee, the muffins, and the sweat potato chips, only thing is the driveway is hard to get a wheel chair in so park in the car park, and the driveway is a council issue not the business, all 8n all it’s a great spot for a coffee and getting flowers for loved ones while your there.
In my previous review I gave this a 3 star. I must have gone on a bad day. As we travelled through Parkes again we gave it another go. The difference was amazing. So much choice, staff were even friendlier. Would recommend this for a quick bite cuppa.
