We visited this historic restaurant and were pleased to find placemats on the tables. Our dish will be featured tonight on Channel Nine in Brisbane (December 6th). Unfortunately, the café's opening hours weren't very clear, but the parking situation was great. There were plenty of spaces available for caravans and buses, as well as wheelchair-accessible spots. Looking forward to a good lunch at an iconic spot we were disappointed to find the cafe hot with the doors open, flies in and no air conditioning, menu extremely limited and expensive and the food so awful it couldn't be finished The photos are of the $15 bacon and egg roll with hollandaise A picture tells a thousand words Also of note garden closed and portable toilets in use as they were also closed The famous radi... A little line-up. They were pretty busy when we left at noon. The grilled chicken package was very delicious. Don't come with chips, they had to get a sub-order they were extra. The coke was a bit warmer than expected, but still drinkable. Bring the family back to lunch at our next visit. Back. Don't go lunch, leave it till 1:00. The view is amazing. Never sick to look at the telescope. I grew up in Parkes, was there who knows how many times, even though I was all that.
What a great place to stop and eat and watch the dish move slowly! We had the Tellerburgers, they were so fresh and tasty without being hard. A real flesh patty, too.
We decided to have breakfast at the café to extend our visit to the Dish and take more view of the Dish. So glad we did. Super nice, friendly and quick service. They even made a special little yogurt and fruit for me. My son got the pancakes and they were delicious. We're pancake aficionados so much says. Great tea.
All the baked goods look amazing, so hard to choose. We came for breakfast with a dish view, had eggs on toast. No picture because I ate them down before i thought of it. Gluten free bread options. Good coffee. Well worth going into this cafe while visiting the dish.
Gourmet pie and delicious salad, hubbie had the Bacon And Egg Roll which he rated highly, scones with fresh cream and lovely jam were also yummo, great coffee. Have wanted to visit foe years, so glad we finally went
