Was Anonym at Malmalling Vineyard a mag?
We went out for lunch today! Even with this cool weather it was a great outing! We ate inside. The 4 of us enjoyed every morsel. I choose Spicy Balsamic beef...delicious, 2 chose the special steak, thumbs up there from both, one rare, the other medium, and finally the scallop risotto, which was devoured! So there is a range to tempt you, albeit a small menu, desserts were also delicious....a blueberry cheesecake, and... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Malmalling Vineyard:
Been here a few times now and the place is maturing. Food selection is not great and a bit overpriced but it is a lovely setting, once you find it. GPS it before leaving as it is poorly signposted. View all feedback.
We've been meaning to visit this winery for a while so last weekend we decided to give it a try. I must say, that it's not easy to find the winery and if it weren't for the signs we probably wouldn't have found it. The winery is located in a lovely location in Parkerville. There is a lot of space and I can see that it would be a great place to chill out in summer where you could sit outside. My husband chose the scallop risotto, which he said was delicious as the scallops were perfectly cooked and the risotto had lots of parmesan. I had the spicy beef, which was cooked well and was tasty though it would have been better with a little less chilli. We tried the wines and both had a glass each with our meal. We both enjoyed our meals and wine and will likely come again when the weather is nicer to try something else and chill out.
Took a punt on going to this winery and restaurant and were very glad we did. We tasted the wines on arrival and were pleasantly surprised. The sparkling rose was somewhat unusual but full of flavour. I was pleased to see the great WA white Verdelho. The food was fantastic for slow grazing with a nice Shiraz. I would recommend the tasting plate and the bruschetta.
We had a very enjoyable lazy Sunday lunch here. The winery is quite small, and there is a smart-looking restauarant area inside but as there is an alfresco dining area outside and as the weather was warm and sunny, we chose to sit outside.First off, though, we went inside and tasted some wines so we could choose something to drink with our lunch. We could have enjoyed the sparkling chardonnay or the rose, but we chose the "Purple Haze", a chilled sweet red which was absolutely delicious and went beautifully with the food. We chose the tasting plate to share, which had a little of everything on the menu, and we also had some delicious shoestring fries. The tasting plate included some kaffir lime prawns, deep-fried with coconut and lime breadcrumbs, served with dressing, which were really tasty (I'm having those next time). There was a mushroom rissoto topped with scallops, middle eastern chicken salad, camembert with chutney and bread, garlic mushrooms, and marinated fetta and olives. Just enough for a good taste of everything and feeling just comfortable. So we each had room for a slice of their lemon tart, one of several appealing desserts. Simple, well made, not fancy but just right. A cappucino finished off our meal. A bonus was the Sunday afternoon live music, which started at 1pm. Lazy laidback Sunday afternoon songs, which were mellow oldies, so with good wine, good food and good music it was the perfect combination. We went home feeling really mellow. The friendly chatty staff were so welcoming, the service was good, the ambiance was just right and overall we had a lovely enjoyable Sunday lunch.
Nice menu, . We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Steak, salmon salad, linguini , all washed down with a nice bottle of cab sav. Friendly staff added to the pleasurable experience
