this was the best fish and chips take-home I've had in years!! The fish was fresh and cooked in a crisp non-greasy batter...perfect. Every chip was crispy outside and soft inside and the serves were very generous. I'm lucky to live around the corner from "The Spot" but it's worth you travelling a fair way to find it. You won't be sorry. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Yummy Spot:
The title says it all, it was the best part of $60. Everything was soggy and dripping with oil. The fish wasn't fresh - I spent the night cleaning up after my son who was terribly ill after eating the fish - will not go back! View all feedback.
Large fish and chips and now also delicious Vietnamese-pho!
This take away gets worse whenever we try to give it ‘ one more try’ to support local business however, it continues to deteriorate. The portions are so small for what you pay and gets less each time. Not for the first time I have waited again today for over half an hour for a small portion of hot chips, they only open 3 hours a night for 5 nights, say they open at 5pm but are never ready to cook even after 5pm. They close on a whim on nights they should be open. Move on give someone else a chance to provide a proper take away service up here in the hills!
This is a takeaway...not cheap but definitely yummy We will return to eat and may try the Pho one day!
Hoki is lovely surrounded by crisp, light batter that is not greasy nor does it go soggy. Perfectly fried chips. Chicken Pho is amazing. The owner cares about his customers what he produces. Give them a try.
We have been coming to this place as our local for years now. The fish and chips is always delicious (and affordable) and recently they have also started doing Vietnamese noodle soups (beef pho and a chicken one) which are absolutely delicious. Its only a tiny little place but we can not fault it.
