I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and ordered the beef rib soup, which was nothing short of spectacular—rich, fragrant, flavorful, and simply delicious. Served steaming hot, I was immediately captivated by its taste. However, I later asked about the differences between beef rib soup and beef bone soup. The staff explained that the beef bones are simmered for over ten hours to develop a deep, distinctive flavor. Unfortunately, when I tried the beef bone soup, I was left extremely disappointed. It tasted like bland hot water, and I couldn't believe it even after taking a sip. You have to add your own salt, which only made it taste like salty water. There were just a few small bits of beef, and I felt completely shortchanged. Despite this letdown, I still rate the place 5 stars solely for that amazing beef rib soup.
I really enjoy the food at this restaurant. While it's a little on the expensive side, I think it's worth it for an occasional treat. I do wish they offered lunch specials priced around $7-8, as my lunch ended up costing about $14 with a Coke. The food quality was excellent, but the portion sizes felt a bit small. Overall, I had a good experience. Its convenient location inside Hmart makes it a great dining option.
