What Andrea Reinen likes about The Newfoundland Pub:
Lunch fare. I had the English style fish and chips. The batter was lightly seasoned and not too heavy. The atmosphere was reminiscent of Newfoundland and the waitress/bartender was friendly and courteous. View all feedback. What Lori Willms doesn't like about The Newfoundland Pub:
Lunchtime on a Friday, mostly empty. I asked for a ham and cheese sandwich, got kraft cheese slice on a slice of processed ham, on toast. A companion said the clam chowder was thin. The fries were good. Waitress friendly but obviously apologetic. This place used to be much better, the fish and chips used to be outstanding, at least for Ottawa, but mediocre now, too bad. Went during business hours and it took some time to prepare the food. They have great wing deals for the middle of the week.

read moreA recent visit to this Ottawa pub left a group of customers underwhelmed by the lack of renovation, decor, and cleanliness. The menu was not appealing, and the overall atmosphere seemed outdated. Despite this, some did enjoy the Fish & Chips, while others found the Newfie Nachos to be a highlight. The pub offers a good selection of beers and a friendly service. Regulars appreciate the live music and the welcoming atmosphere, making it a spot worth returning to. So, while the pub may need some serious updating, it seems to have a loyal customer base that values the down-to-earth charm of the establishment.
