What User doesn't like about Sir John A Pub:
I’ve only been to the John A. once for drinks and we didn’t stay long, so take my review with a grain of salt. During our recent visit we needed to wait for friends we I ordered a coffee and my wife ordered a Radler. The service was ok as were the prices. Unfortunately, that part of Elgin is a little too busy to really enjoy the patio. Not some place I’d return to, but you may want to give it a try. View all feedback. What User likes about Sir John A Pub:
The Sir John A was just a short stroll from our hotel but we selected it after looking at many of the other spots on Elgin Street. It lived up to it's welcoming atmosphere and the smell of the food.We had the shepherds pie and the fish and chips which were both excellent. We were able to sit outside and do people watching as well as eating. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience here. View all feedback.

We enjoyed a nice drink on the patio. Elgin Street is lots of fun with plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Service was good.

read moreThe John A. pub on Elgin Street offers a great patio setting with friendly service and reasonable prices. While the food may be hit or miss, the craft beer selection is impressive. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for a casual night out or pre-game drinks. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff and quick service. Despite some food quality issues, the wide variety of local beers and welcoming ambiance make this pub a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and those looking for a fun night out in Ottawa.
I really enjoy their outdoor seating area and the variety of beers they offer.
