The restaurant still does not accept reservations, but is seldom crowded at lunch time. The four of us sampled different dishes, The mussels were much larger than elsewhere and had a choice of two or three different sauces. What Joyce G doesn't like about Seafood Grill:
Not what it was. Went on Sunday at four, service good, seafood good. I had grilled shrimp and vegetables. Shrimp was good, eight on plate but vegetables consisted of two small heirloom carrots and one sprig of sweet broccoli, not my idea of vegetables. Meal not balanced, very disappointed. Two couples, three orders of fish and chips, one of the salmon fillet. Not a hint of a complaint. The salmon was done perfectly (my main). The staff is young, polite and attentive. (beware of the cutie with the brown eyes who loves to tease) Keep on cooking like that, guys, and you'll continue to be busy.
Best fish and chips anywhere I've ever tried. Tony and Tina are great hosts and the staff is always incredibly friendly.
We looked forward to taking out of town family here for what had been one of our favorites fish chips, as well as a few orders of fish 1 2 chips 1 2 salad. We were greeted by our waiter on the patio, with our drink order taken, followed by our menu selections. Drinks arrived, food arrived then all downhill from there. The meals were warm not hot unfortunately, the fish was quite greasy on this occasion. To add insult to injury, our waiter never returned no one bothered to check on the food or drinks, offer coffee or dessert. A waitress going by cleared some of the table we had to go inside the restaurant to find the waiter, retrieve the bill go elsewhere for coffee dessert. Not the same quality as we had enjoyed previously or just a really bad night!
This little place serves excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. I will surely go back. Must try their bouillabaise!
To explain the Title I can't speak highly enough of this great little restaurant. It's certainly worth everything I could possibly say. Quaint and very welcoming. Sat down immediately and was approached by the server and drinks appeared quite quickly! The special catch was cod so we both had Fish and chips. Dinner arrived without delay and I can honestly say (being a Brit and raised on Fish and Chips) that this was the best I've eaten. Ample fish, light batter and flaky cod ...perfect. Oh, had a few oysters to start and they were very nice. The tiramisu beckoned but I had a fill of great food already. They told me they are taking reservations for groups over 6 .... Service and clean up was a team effort. Not a single criticism from me. Lovely young people who were always on the go. The restaurant is accessible as is the washrooms. They were clean and tidy. This has been my overall highest rating I believe.
