Now there are only For Sale signs in the window. The passing of one of the jewels of Ottawa cuisine.

Service was really good, food was ok but could have been great had there been just a smig more seasoning. I am not a huge salt person at all but everything could have used a little salt to bring out their flavours. We had purchased a Groupon to try the restaurant and were quite happy as after purchasing the wine tasting to compliment the meal we still paid a pretty penny. Could have been an off night for the chef so, I wouldn't hold it against him.
Went to Santé on a Groupon. Food:- Food was tasty and healthy-ish. There was good selection and everything was properly cooked. Drink:- I am a beer drinker and was not amazed with the selection, only two beers on tap, but I suppose this is a swankier restaurant so that's the norm?Atmosphere:- the decor and location is great, nice views and tables are spread apart enough to keep some good ambiance Price:- Although the food and atmosphere were pretty good, the price (even with the Groupon) was a bit hefty considering it is in the market near other great restaurants.Overall:It is a worth a try for a nice night out with your SO. It was good but you may find the the price outweighs the product slightly.
Tasty share plate - chefs choice had beef , trout and vegetables- excellent ! Not large portions but well presented and delicious! Service was lovely Bonus - jazz guitar and a singer . Too bad not more people! Window seat was fine .
