Nous sommes allés quelques fois à ce petit Resto vietnamien sympathique. À côté du cinéma, bon service, grande variété de plats. La nourriture y est goûteuse et le prix est très raisonnable. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Saigon Pho:
First and last visit. Placed order over phone for take out. Did not realize until I arrived at home that I did not receive the item I ordered and paid for. Also small portions. View all feedback.

We'd eaten takeout from SP once before and it was excellent. This second time (takeout) however, keep in mind that we called-in the order around 4:20pm(slow period) on a Saturday and there were only 4 items on the order ...A) We ordered, and paid for, 2 veg. spring rolls and only got one - we specifically asked how many rolls were in an order and when 1 order would not be enough we asked for 2B) The containers of the other three items were barely half full. At a cost of $14.50, $14.95 & $15.95 I don't have to tell you how disappointing and expensive that was.We will try SP the next time we want Vietnamese cuisine in hopes that this time was simply an 'off' day.
Great food, but horrible service. On two consecutive occasions, my wife and I went to Saigon Pho for our date night. We ordered a simple order of spring rolls and a Pho Ga for each of us. The server took our order and forgot about us. We watched three more couples come in, finish their appetizers and partially finish their main courses before we even got our spring rolls! The server never once came to check on us and ignored us even when they brought food to the tables beside us both who came in after us. One couple even finished their meal and left in the time it took us to get our appetizer. Tonight we decided to go back and give them another chance to redeem themselves and the same thing happened. We ordered simple soups and watched other people come in after us and get their appetizers and main courses while we sat patiently nursing our soft drinks for 45 minutes. My wife went to the front counter to ask what was taking so long and the girl said that they "lost" our order but yet she was able to tell us what we ordered because it was on the computer screen. Just as my wife came back to the table, the server brought out a rice dish with beef and broccoli and a pho ga to the table beside us (who came in 15 minutes after we did). We then went to the counter explained the situation, paid for our drinks and left. They didn't even make the effort to compensate us for the inconvenience. We wasted yet another date night waiting 45 plus minutes for food that should have taken 15 minutes on average to come out. We have given up on Saigon Pho and will find another Vietnamese restaurant to give our business to.
We dropped into this restaurant to pick up a selection of Vietnamese food to bring supper (take out order) for our relatives in Orleans. We all love Vietnamese food so decided on trying this new restaurant. The staff member working that evening was extremely helpful and friendly in helping us select enough food and a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our group which included two young children. He did a fabulous job as we had just the right amount of food without too many leftovers. The restaurant itself is pretty and very clean - including a clean kitchen which we could see from the counter. However, we are used to authentic Vietnamese food from the restaurant we patronize at home (confirmed to us by friends who have travelled to Vietnam and have eaten at our local restaurant). The food we had at Saigon Pho, while being pretty good, did not really measure up to what we are accustomed to, especially the Red Curry stir fry which seemed very "corn-starchy." The analogy we make is that this is "Canadianized Vietnamese" food as like the Canadianized versions of Chinese food found in so many Chinese restaurants in Canada. Our relatives stated that they found it to be better than their usual Vietnamese restaurant, so if this version of Vietnamese cuisine is what you are used to - you will find it to be good.
