My husband and I visited this location this week. What I really enjoy is the fact that they have corn wraps which us gluten free. They also change gloves and make efforts to make the food as safe as possible. The food was great and the service was friendly and helpful. The floors need a good cleaning but otherwise it was fine. Back after fifteen years and I did so miss the great Donairs from the many sandwich shops in ol Bytowne.. The staff were friendly and told me of a special for two small sandwiches for @$7.00! Got one Chicken and one Donairs; with a Coke under $10...nice! I'll be back and it won't take 15 years this time...Cheers
We have been very good customers of Prince Gourmet since they opened their location at Montreal Rd. & Ogilvie Rd. At least 4 times a week. We have also gone to their locations on Innes Rd. near Costco, Gloucester Center & the new location on Montreal Rd. No More!! We do like their food, but aside from a few gems, the majority of the staff that we have dealt with at any location have a MAJOR attitude problem. They do not listen to your order & unless you watch very closely, you do not get what you asked for. The classic moment was when I ordered a salad & the gentleman behind the counter very promptly made a pita sandwich for me with all the trimmings. Perhaps he didn't hear me, LOL! I have spoken to the Owner of the chain & some of his Managers about these issues to no avail. It would seem that he is doing enough business that he doesn't worry about losing ours. I have heard similar stories from a number of people in the area. I am very willing to drive further to get the same or a better product without the attitude or careless approach to preparing it.
Average Lebanese food. Shawarmas are good. Garlic sauce is also good. Watch out for the freshness of the vegetables. Not rare to find a black or gross turnip. Tomatoes looking pretty pale.... So word of advise, look at the ingredients when they make the sandwich and don't just go straight to cash cause they will sneak it in and you'll only find out too late... Other than that, it serves it's purpose when you grad the lunch special. And the price ? average for what you get.
