good place for a fast, rather less frequent menu (that is refreshing.) good, quiet atmosphere, but they felt as if they had enough background noise to keep talks private. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Plantain Cartel:
the restaurant is beautiful. I was surprised that the beet salad was so sweet that he tasted like dessert. I was disappointed that the plantains were cut so thin that it was as if I had eaten potato chips. the server has an excellent knowledge of the menu. I can't understand why they sat another table next to me when the restaurant was empty. View all feedback.
Great place. Awesome staff! Food, too expensive. Plantain-based dishes are super cheap to make and pricing them at 20+ dollars is ridiculous.
Good spot for a fast, rather less common menu (which is refreshing). Good, quiet atmosphere yet you felt as though you had sufficient background noise to keep conversations private.
A great space to enjoy a delicious meal. Loved the attention to detail in the food, the space and the service. Will come back for sure. 100% recommend!

Our server was incredibly warm, kind and attentive. The ambience was very quiet on a Tuesday evening, and the food tasted delicious and fresh. If you like plantain and latin type ingredients think black beans, pulled meat, crema, feta, onions, and ribbon veggies you have to try Plantain Cartel's patacones. And if you don't think you're a fan of this type of food, try it anyway you'll be converted. The patacones have been on my list for years ever since they were offered at Soca and before Plantain Cartel had their own restaurant, and I'm glad that it's everything I expected. I would definitely return.
