What User likes about Perogies Takeout:
We missed the main entrance to the IKEA shopping plaza and what a stroke of luck that we find this little hidden gem. The pierogis are as authentic as you will find, similar to grandmothers. We stuck with the staples of potato cheese with onion and sauerkraut with mushroom. The proprietor let us try a couple complimentary as we bought 2 dozen to take back to the USA. I can get cheaper in the states but considering th... View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Perogies Takeout:
We came here for the first time to try authentic Russian Ukrainian cuisine. I got the perogi platter and the Babas visit platter. The front cashier attendant took our pierogies and microwaved them, two of the flavours were very bland and all of the perogies came out soggy. Absolutely tasty we come back! yummy. many thanks for offering such fantastic perogies. we can try the delivery next time.
Amazing authentic perogies from the old land, not to miss. make sure to check them, they have delivery and are by far the best in ottawa!
From time to time we pickup at this local shop right around the corner. Quality of their food makes us return time and time again.

read moreExperience authentic Russian Ukrainian cuisine at Ottawa Perogies, a cozy mom-and-pop shop. While the perogi platters and Babas visit platters may leave something to be desired in terms of flavor and quality, the ground beef crepes and cabbage rolls are tasty options. The perogies, while smaller than traditional sizes, are made with care and come in delicious flavors like potato cheese and sauerkraut mushroom. The service is friendly and there are Ukrainian souvenirs available for purchase. While prices may seem a bit high, the quality and taste of the food make it worth a visit to this hidden gem in Ottawa.
