Took advantage of a 2 for 1 wings special. Breaded wings with classic BBQ sauce. Wings were a good size, lightly breaded and nicely sauced. 1 lb of wings was 8 wings. Celery was fresh with a decent amount of blue cheese dressing. Was ready when I arrived. What went wrong: Website did not work, I could not order. I had an e-gift card that I could not determine the amount left on it, nor apply to the purchase. The web... View all feedback.
What Simon G doesn't like about Lone Star Texas Grill:
Ordered through Skip the Dishes at the Baseline location. Extremely disappointed. Missing items (chips, salsa, churros). We didn’t receive the gluten free tortillas we ordered. Instead we received flour tortillas we can’t eat. Meal was received cold, not even warm. The portion size for the Fajitas Especiale for 2 is frankly ridiculous and doesn’t look anything like the product advertised online. View all feedback.
Great place close to the hotel._Good service great fajitas_Overall I liked it. Would definately come back for the fajitas
4/5 = Pretty Satisfied!__Came in pretty late on a week night with my friend in the middle of the week and the staff was still very friendly and welcoming.
I really do love the Lone Star - the fajitas are amazing, and even the tortillas wraps alone are worth getting the meal.
My family and I have long been Lone Star fans, but our last visit there left us wondering about the direction of this Ottawa mainstay. As I mentioned in the title, our food was still good. However, I also observed the following. The servers seem have lost their cowboy handles, and don't great you with the same zest and friendly easy manner. The welcome bowl of corn chips and salsa are ONLY offered for $1 if you ASK (cheap in my view). The food portions now seem small. Our server didn't seem that interested at the beginning of the meal, but did warm up and improve as the meal was served. We had a birthday sing from the staff for my daughter but somehow felt un appreciated. My guess is that some layer of management has taken their eye off the ball. Poor staff is rarely a reflection on the staff. Time for the Lone Star to revisit what made them successful in the first place. A top notch tex-mex customer experience that starts and ends with well trained motivated staff and a product that seems generous even if expensive.
Tortillas fait sur place, très bon et bel embiance. Je vais y retourner avec la famille ou plusieurs amis
