It's probably true: You cannot live on pie alone. So try the scones or squares. They even serve hearty breakfasts. Everything we have tried has been tasty and satisfying. This is a small cafe, and its sometimes hard to get a table. But you can always get take-out and eat along the canal, if its a nice day. Nice place! Good coffee too. View all feedback.

We've been going regularly for weekend brunch over the last few months and love it here. You can have a full farmers breakfast with eggs/sausage/bacon/ham choices and/or waffles with your choice of toppings, always done well. There's a great feel to the place, very much a neighbourhood cafe, and the changing art display is a nice additional touch. They can make the brunch gluten-free on request.
As its name suggests, the restaurant specializes in desserts, especially scones and pies. However, one can get a very good light lunch as well. I has the quiche of the day (cheese and chives); it was just perfect for my needs. Next time I will sample the baked goods.
The desserts a absolutely delicious and I've never been disappointed by any of them, their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is really pleasant. They also have board games so you can come in with friends and hangout. They also do full meals and non dessert food items of which I've only tried one. It was decent but nothing special, would try more before coming to a conclusion on the quality of them. Only complaint is that their cutlery had a gross metallic taste that took away from the food.

I am not so fond of their fruit pies (the crust is quite ordinary) and their coffee quality really needs to be upgraded.Staff are pleasant although at times a bit disorganized. I don't blame them, I think better training is in order. The place seems to be very popular so maybe my concerns don't resonate with a lot of customers. Try it for yourself and make up your own mind.
