Carlingwood Tavern - Ottawa

The appetizer plate was delicious. The main dishes were great. We ordered butter chicken and sak shrimp .It is a very nice place to dine in . It is very clean and the food is restaurant quality and the waitress is really nice and professional. It is different from all the Indian restaurants I have been in. I could say it’s probably one of the best.

Carlingwood Restaurant has what you need for a great meal at a great price.Service is quick and friendly if you are in a hurry or you can relax. The menu has lots of variety for both adults and kids.It is also fully licensed! The pizza is incredibly good and my favorite for a quick lunch is the club sandwich with the most amazing coleslaw.You can't go wrong stopping in at this family owned and run restaurant.Enjoy!

Haven't been to this restaurant for years. But met my mother and sister there for lunch today. Decor is nice and it's clean. I decided to have the bacon cheeseburger as it looked good in the picture in the menu. However, though the picture showed a homemade burger I had a frozen beef patty. I was disappointed.My mother had the all day breakfast and seemed happy enough although she said her toast was burnt on the edges. My sister had the club sandwich which was nothing special she said. We split a gravy but I've had better in other restaurants. Doubt I'd make a special trip to go here again.

Stopped by for a quick meal while shopping . The food is homemade except for the desserts I thinkLots of choices and a bit of a throwback to the selection.But all in all, not expensive, a good sit down, and like being at the neighbour' mom's home when she used to have us all over for Sunday bunch.Something that is fast disappearing and sadly being replaced by expensive chains.

My husband and I eat here every chance we get. From breakfast to burgers and club sandwiches, their food is the best! The gravy is addictive!
