This was a recommendation for a cycling destination from downtown. Well worth the trip out along the river. Easily the best clam chowder this side of Boston. So tasty and packed full of different seafood delights. An absolute steal at $6.50 for a medium. Will definitely head back for more this summer...the fish and chips were very well done. What Oswald Daniel doesn't like about Ad Mare Seafood Truck:
Very underwhelming. We had the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos. Portions were small and the fish was bland. Shrimp tacos were tasty but I wish the portions were bigger. The chips are good though, and worth a try. View all feedback.
Food was incredible and service was outstanding. The lobster roll was like nothing I'd had before, loaded up with lobster meat you're definitely getting your money's worth. 11/10 on the taste scale. Fish tacos were outstanding as well. The chips are really tasty, a good alternative to fries. I also enjoyed the homemade balsamic on the salad. Overall very happy with this place, not a bad thing to say about it.
Ad Mare is consistently the BEST local Ottawa food truck! I can always count on a friendly smile from the staff, followed by delicious sea food dishes. My favourite has always been getting the two taco platter; one fish and one shrimp with the delish fries! I also love the cole slaw that comes with the meal. The food is always so fresh and filled with flavour.
Just one of the best fish and chips in Ottawa. Crispy battery and delicate flock fish. This food truck makes fish and chips better than most restaurants. They used to be in downtown, but from October 2021 they are in Bells Corners in the Kichesippi brewery.

The fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was delicate. Tartar sauce and some coleslaw on the side finished it off nicely. The chips were very well executed, lots of different root vegetable flavours (I was expecting British chip shop style chips, but the disappointment faded fast! Finished off with a kitchesippi beer in the sunshine...on the grass as the patio is closed. Staff were friendly and chatty and kept busy with the line up.
Just had lunch here. Ordered the Shrimp and Fish Tacos. Delicious. With the added corn and the sauce, these tacos are a delight. The cook on the fish was good but the shrimp tacos pack more flavor. Will be coming here again. Solid effort
