Grand Slam Grill - Olean
Grand Slam Grill
Description
A popular mall restaurant praised for generous portions, standout steaks and New York–style cheesecake, offering a casual, family-friendly dining experience with generally fast, friendly service. However, guests report inconsistent hospitality — from rude staff and spotty drink refills to undercooked steaks — plus strict seating policies, delivery hiccups and occasional early closing. Expect excellent food and a warm atmosphere, but be prepared for variable service and operational quirks.

On the road in the pipeline industry from LA, I stopped in for an early dinner. Had a really good smash burger and a few delicious stellas on tap. I had a great conversation with the dayshift woman bartender (didn't catch her name). Also had a great talk with a few of the patrons. Will definitely return next time I'm in town. Normally since working in food serviceseveral times in my life i don't make a big deal, but the food was very bad. In fact this is one of maybe two times I have left a review on a restaurant. Reading the reviews it seemed like a decent place, so maybe we just got an off night? But the place wasn't every busy at the time we ate so I am not sure what happened. Stale chips on the nachos, beef on the nachos had no seasoning what so ever. The meatballs we had were burnt on the bottom and over cooked, pasta seemed like it was leftover from the day before. Got the burger with the egg on it mid rare, burger was overcooked to the point of being dry. The egg on the burger had very raw whites that were still runny and cold, I know it was a sunny side up egg but it was literally raw. Worked in several kitchens and I would never let plates like that leave ever. Now the good stuff, server was nice and did what was needed and the place seemed clean. They cooked the one order correctly but it was a well done burger sooo... Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
I always enjoy supporting local businesses, and dining at this locally owned and operated restaurant was no exception. The quality of the food and its presentation truly speaks for itself. The steak sandwich was exceptionally tender and bursting with flavor, while the wings were perfectly crispy and delectable. They even included celery on the side! We also tried the chicken nachos, which were outstanding. Additionally, the service from the waitress and staff was excellent. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.
