Went in for an early dinner at 4 pm. We were given the lunch menu. There was a lunch special for an open faced prime rib sandwich, which my boyfriend ordered. The waitress told us that this item had sold out for lunch but offered he could order the prime rib off the dinner menu for nearly 30$. He declined. I was excited to try Beef Barrell after hearing so much about it and had high hopes when I arrived. The restaurant was lovely, clean, and well-kept. I decided to order the Beef on Kummelweck sandwich for $14.95, which came with a dill pickle slice. Despite the reputation for great beef, I found the meat to be bland and sometimes stringy. It was decent, but not one of my favorites. The service was lacking, as the server was not very attentive and slow. I might give it another try, but with lower expectations next time.

Great place for hand carved roast beef, always just the way you want it! Staff is friendly and attentive! Comfortable interior surroundings. Always try to stop there when we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and a great place to dine.
It was my Wife’s and I first time dining here tonight. Everything was great the French Onion Soup, The Ribs, Baked Potato, even down to the homemade ranch. To top the whole experience off. Our server Samantha was top Notch. Great Food Great Service. Thank you Beef and Barrel Will return soon !
Staff was excellent, beautiful place with delicious food at a reasonable price. Would definitely go there again !! A bit dark when you first walk in, but still highly recommend !!!!
Expensive food was ok not what was expected
Absolutely fantastic! The beef on weck, fries with gravy, German potato salad, and mud pie with homemade hot fudge sauce were all incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish!

Wonderful restaurant! There on December 23, 2021, with the family and we all had a great meal, wonderful service and a delicious desert. We'll share the Peppermint Snowball. Only on the bottom was the weather outside, was something snowy and cold, and it wasn't there to blame! It was comfortable and very good atmosphere. Thanks again for a wonderful evening. PS I had the beef plate! What a meal.

Great family atmosphere. Friendly staff and generous portions. Plus the beef on wick is the best around. Update!!!!! The wife and I went into there for lunch. Was greeted and sat down right away. Our waitress was very friendly. We both had the open face hot roast beef sandwich which was very good. Always a great place to eat
Excellent staff, exceptionally attentive and delicious food. We stopped for lunch and both had roasted beef sandwiches and shared a snowball dessert together.
Not sure what happened here last year, but the quality of beef has drastically fallen. It used to be the best beef everywhere. Beef is hard and strict. I used to be there, the German potato salad was served cold and had to be reheated. For the great price you pay, the quality is certainly no longer there.
