What Janice M doesn't like about The Waggon Inn:
We visited on Friday night. We hadn't booked and a couple of the other restaurants were full, but we got a table at The Annex. The staff were very pleasant, but the pizza's were a bit grim. I had the special, which was just tasteless and my husband had the chicken and chorizo which had mayonnaise dribbled all over it. (it did have that on the menu when we came to look back at it, but it was very bizarre). The pizza b... View all feedback.
We decided to celebrate my Dad's 50th birthday party at The Annex and it was absolutely wonderful! We chose this venue because of its flexibility in terms of weather. Despite reserving an outdoor space in hopes of good weather, it ended up raining in typical British fashion. However, this did not pose a problem as the staff had set up large umbrellas and heaters, allowing us to still enjoy the outdoor space. Abi was incredibly helpful leading up to the event, answering all of our questions promptly. On the day of the party, the staff assisted us in setting up decorations and provided excellent service from beginning to end. They even packed up all the decorations and wrapped up the cake at the end of the night. The pizzas were delicious and well-received by our guests, and Abi accommodated our requests to customize certain items on the menu. I highly recommend The Annex as a venue for any party or event!
I met up with three friends for a catch-up and we decided to go for the 2 pizzas and Prosecco deal for £30, and we ordered it twice. The pizzas had a great variety of toppings and were very large. The quality was really good and it was great value for the money. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I had the special, which was just tasteless and my husband had the chicken and chorizo which had mayonnaise dribbled all over it. The lady on the next table sat with her coat on throughout their meal.
Met family and a group of friends at The Annex for a catch up. Andy looked after us extremely well and the choice of wines excellent, they now have draught lager so that pleased the guys. Pizzas were excellent. We went across to Muse after to continue our little party and again the staff went out of their way to find us space to sit together.
Had my daughters baby shower here today, it was a lovely and relaxed atmosphere with live entertainment on singing jazz, which may I add were very good The staff were extremely accommodating, particularly Andy who sorted out all the arrangements. The owner was extremely polite and friendly and took time out to talk to us. The food was excellent too, great value for money. Overall excellent service and a great day had by all. I would recommend the annex for a special event or simply a nice relaxing drink and a great place to eat. Thanks again for a perfect afternoon.
