Reviews - Ocean Treasure Seafood
Reviews summary
This restaurant elicits a cacophony of emotions among its patrons. While some diners laud the authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum and friendly staff, others report dismal service experiences that overshadow the meals, with long wait times and poor management responses to concerns. Celebratory gatherings have been notably marred by lackluster service, with parties often leaving disappointed. Food quality has seen mixed reviews, with some noting overpriced dishes but satisfying flavors. Amidst the contrasts, a few return for the welcoming atmosphere and community feel. Ultimately, the restaurant's potential remains clouded by inconsistency, challenging its long-term appeal.

Absolutely fantastic the food was amazing, if you're ever in and around Oldman and want a fabulous feast at excellent prices then look no further.
Used to really love this place and we would go as often as we could. After an accident a few years back I was using a wheelchair, we rang them and they said they had a lift. When we went it was a really cramped service lift at the back and it came out in the kitchen. It was manic, crammed with chefs and staff. You could barely see anything for the steam. It wasn't an experience I was keen to repeat, so we then switched to having our orders delivered. Steadily we noticed that the prices were gett
Lobster with ginger and spring onion, steamed turbot, and the roasts dishes were spot on. These old-time canto restaurants are harder to find now and I'm so pleased this place is still on top of its game.

We waited nearly 20 minutes before our orders were taken and the waitress was rude and unprofessional. Water was only served sparingly.
I visited this restaurant on November 7, 2012 to reconnect with some long-time family friends. I have been a patron of this establishment for numerous years, even before it was known as Ocean.

The Management have no customer service skills whatsoever 50 th birthday meal ruined and no acknowledgment from them Party of 27. Four of the guest ended up having to take their main meals as takeout as everyone else eaten and been at the table for over 2 half hours. When presented with the bill it was outlined that there we be an expectation of a reduction in these 4 people’s bills given it was now a takeaway The manager said if you are not paying full price leave your food here!! They were eventually offered £4.80 off lol Consequently food left behind and starters only paid for. The manager had no comprehension that the service had prevented us from eating together they wasn’t interested it was a celebration and that several of the party hadn’t even eaten a meal. We arrived at 545 and left at 8-45. Two couples in the party had to go and purchase food on their way home This place has gone completely downhill since changing hands and the 27 guest will never step foot in there again. Unfortunately we weren’t the only ones another couple left furious without a main meal also. Again management didn’t acknowledge their poor quality service and that their customers we left very disappointed
Thankyou so much, for great food and welcoming hospitality. We really enjoyed our meals, and sharing with each other. It was our wedding Anniversary and my Daughter-in-laws birthday. A nice surprise when Happy birthday rang out for her. We definitely recommend and will return
Such a great visit for a birthday celebration. Food was really tasty and generous portion sizes. The fillet steak rolls and aromatic crispy duck were especially good. Service also great with friendly and attentive staff and a nice surprise of a happy birthday song to finish. Would definitely recommend and will be returning, thank you!
Came here for a dim sum lunch and the food was fresh, authentic and very tasty. We ordered a plate of rice with roast duck and roast pork and the portion was enough to feed the table. Altogether for four people we ordered 6 dim sum and there was enough to go around. I really liked the deep fried squid and the steamed buns. We were given a choice of teas to drink rather then be given jasmine tea automatically which I thought was a good touch. The steamed dim sum came to the table in their bamboo boxes and tasted freshly made. The bill was reasonable and the service friendly and efficient. Will be going to this restaurant regularly as there is free parking too. Downstairs is a chinese supermarket so you can stock up before you leave.

Perhaps the best Chinese restaurant in Great Britain. although the foods were a little too salty. my family always comes here when I visited the city. the price is reasonable and the customer service is beyond expectations!
Hongkong style Yum-cha ordered roasted duck (half,) it was a little salty and dry. plum sauce was nice. nice staff speaks cantonese. parking was so full, even it was on weekday thinking about making a reservation
Went for lunch on Saturday. We had booked a table beforehand, which was good as it was quite busy. The staff were very friendly and took our orders for drinks and food very quickly. The food was excellent! Cannot fault the food or service and will certainly be coming back.
Not been here for a few years as I moved out of the area, I was not disappointed. The waitress that looked after our party of 6 was attentive and courteous, she even took some group photos of us. We had met up for lunch and all ordered the 3 course business lunch. We were seated around a large circular table with a lazy susan in the middle which made serving the food much simpler. The food was excellent and also good value for money. Definitely worth travelling just out of Manchester for. I will certainly be back again soon.
