Tow Inn - Old Forge

This is a very busy place especially so as this area 'Old Forge ' is a tourist attraction and doesn 't have enough places to eat to handle the many tourists. Having said that we got to this place early enough to avoid the inevitable large crowd. Our waitress was attentive and very personable. My wife and I had an omelet and breakfast skillet both were excellent with a large portion for the price. They have pancakes on the menu advertised 'as large as your plate '. A customer next to me got an order and the pancakes were the largest I 've ever seen and this young guy couldn 't finish the two he had.

Food was pretty good. I had a Rueben and wife had a Philly steak melt so we shared. Service was pretty good. Prices we reasonable too.

We've been twice in the off season (after LaborDay) Food was ok, nothing great. Staff is friendly and attentive, drinks good. Walkable from most hotels.

Free popcorn. Cheap drinks. Great service. They had pool, darts, and foosball. The only odd thing was the carpet in a bar.

My boys and I were just there.Old Forge,NY t 8/8/2022, LOST POWER tonight, and there were no places open including gas stations to stop in and get something to.eat, we pulled in front of the bar, hoping there would be food, as I walked in to the bar, with my 7 and 10year old , the pleasant bartender lady, said sorry but there 's no food here , I asked for bottled water, again it was a no, but the only thing bottled was Saranac root beer, and they had a variety of chips and etc. KATIE(? , A VERY pleasant lady heard us and said that she had some sports drinks , apple sauce , and went in to the back room and grabbed us what she had to offer so we had something to eat in the hotel room , as I returned to the bar to.pay, some good Samaritan, a young guy, had already paid for our root beer and chips the boys have picked out. I offered to pay , but it was not accepted. The folks there, the bar tender, Katie Manager?, and the young guy were so cool helping us out , that even my 7 and 10 year old kept saying that these were very nice people. We thank you again. For your hospitality, and the sharing and caring hearts. It means a lot, and I believe in returning the favor or paying it forward is a thing , and i believe it paid us back tonight via these kind people.
