Feedback
Keyes’ Pancake House offers a mixed breakfast experience. Many praise the friendly, attentive service and clean, inviting atmosphere, with some staff going above and beyond to make families feel welcome. Early arrival is recommended to avoid crowds. The food, however, divides opinion—from delicious pancakes and satisfying dishes to complaints about bland, cold, or incorrectly prepared meals. Wait times can vary, and some guests note inconsistent quality in staples like eggs, sausage, and toast. While budget-friendly with kid-friendly touches, customer service responses to complaints have occasionally been criticized. Overall, it’s a place worth trying but with unpredictable results.
Early advised to avoid the rush. Fast and friendly service. Clean! Efficient and clear operations in the front. Coffee was good. Many creamers/condiments without request. A bit for eating, despite the handful of tables actually sitting (usually empty) and most already eating. that was not so good. Bacon and toast over boiled, pancakes gumy, eggs over hard equal scrambling then fried. Well made homestyle potatoes hard like skirt and super soft a combo. Would return thanks to cleanliness and good service and options are limited.
I don't typically leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, the owner/operator of this restaurant has earned the one star I’ve given for the disappointing experience my family had here. The bottom line is, if you’re lucky enough to enjoy a decent meal at this place, consider yourself fortunate! If your experience isn’t exceptional and you bring it to the owner’s attention, his response will likely be disheartening. I encourage you to read other negative reviews here; they tell a more accurate story. If you find yourself dissatisfied with the food, those reviews will resonate. The owner shows little interest in customer service and tends to dismiss complaints with a simple, “too bad!” In our case, he even said, “You ate the food, didn’t you?” Yes, we did, but only after waiting over an hour and a half—and our order was still incorrect. While the food was not inedible, it was cold, wrong, and mediocre at best. In my 50+ years of business experience, I have never met an owner who showed such little respect for his most valuable asset: his customers. Just wait and see how he reacts to this review—you’ll understand what I mean!
This restaurant is a great option for budget-friendly breakfast choices. The service was average—nothing special. I did find a piece of sausage in my home fries, which was quite off-putting since I’m a vegetarian. Nonetheless, the rest of the food was genuinely quite good! They also offer crayons and paper for kids (or adults who like to color), which is a nice addition.
This review addresses only the wait time after ordering. I’m giving one star, though it really deserves none. Two moms with three kids arrived just before 10 AM, and our orders were taken by 10:05 AM. The attached photo shows when we finally got our food! By then, many other customers were already leaving happy. What are the cooks doing back there? Is there even a kitchen manager? To sum up: orders taken at 10:05 AM, still waiting at 10:40 AM, and food arrived at 10:51 AM. I’ll share another review later covering the overall food and service experience.
Arrived early to avoid the rush. Fast and friendly service. Clean! Efficient and clear operations in the front. Coffee was good. Plenty of creamer/condiments without needing to request. Took a bit for the food despite the handful of tables actually seated(mostly empty) and most eating already. which was the not so good part. Bacon and toast over cooked, pancakes rubbery, eggs overhard equal scrambled then fried. Well done homestyle potatoes hard as rock and super soft one combo. Would return thanks tothe cleanliness and good service and options are limited.
