I arrived on June 12 with my family of 8 looking to enjoy fun good food. At $35.00 per person plus tax gratuities. The food was very disappointing with a very limited choice of low end items. Hamburgers hot dogs Mac cheese. There was grisly. primerib which couldn?t be cut with plastic utensils salad n fruit. They brought out 1 pie for dessert 1 cheesecake if you werefast enough you might have gotten a slice. Coffee was horrible!! Now onto the service or there lack of!! The food servers weredisinterested. We had to track down someone for drinks. A couple of times we had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. We werethere to celebrate my husbands birthday we were very disappointed in the whole event. Would have had a better time sitting onthe bench downstairs. I would NOT recommend this particular venue!!
On August 7, 2021, I visited Dining Terrace to reconnect with friends we hadn't seen in two years, hoping it would be a great spot to enjoy some races and good food. Unfortunately, I was mistaken! We were initially informed that we should have made reservations, but a gentleman managed to find us a table by the window and explained that the entrance fee included all-you-can-eat and drink. The restaurant never filled up, leaving many tables empty. The buffet food was disappointing, and to make matters worse, they kept running out of dishes. Aside from the pork roast, the other options were frozen foods that you could easily buy in bulk for a backyard party. I'm certain we could do better ourselves! As we were about to leave, we were unexpectedly informed that our drink bill was forthcoming, which was the final straw for me. I requested to speak to someone in charge and ended up talking to Samantha, who surprisingly wasn't shocked to hear about the lack of quality and availability of food. After some back and forth, she offered us a voucher for our drinks but couldn't compensate us for the meal itself. To add to the frustration, our table went uncleaned the entire time we were there, with many guests having to take their trash to the disposal area themselves. I understand that these are challenging times for restaurants, but if you’re going to charge a substantial fee of $43.00 per person (which includes an 18% service charge), you should not serve subpar food and mislead patrons. Please, don't waste your money here. This once-great dining experience has become quite disappointing.
The food was beyond our expectations and truly exciting, especially since we could place bets on the races while we ate. The staff was very accommodating, letting us take our time without feeling rushed. Although the service was a bit slow because of the Mother's Day crowd, our server was incredibly sweet, which made it worthwhile. Everyone at the venue was friendly and helpful, and we even got a tour that included a visit to the Winner's Circle! It was an amazing and thrilling experience, and we will definitely return for more.
The restaurant has seen a decline in recent years. The portion sizes and food quality do not justify the prices they charge. The highlight of our lunch was the Oreo cheesecake, which we found quite enjoyable. However, the coffee was just average and not very hot. Overall, our dining experience was quite disappointing.
