Food was abysmal for the price, either too little seasoning or too much seasoning on all of the dishes we ordered. One out of our ten guests did not receive their food on time, it came about 15 minutes after (an eggplant parm dish that I would hope wouldn’t take too long) everyone else got their food. Service was poor for a Friday night. Not worth a visit. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Service: Dine in
Blu Grotto has improved since last year. If you haven't been recently. You must try again.
Our server was welcoming and and was sure to follow up with the kitchen when I told him about my allergy concerns. We ordered off their “Jersey Shore Restaurant Week” menu which was excellent. The choices, portions and taste were all great. It was a wonderful dining experience.
My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose the Blu Grotto for Oceanport, our 117th town. The Blu Grotto has an indoor restaurant which is more upscale, and an outdoor patio with live music that is more casual fare. We enjoyed a late summer evening with The Nerds playing on the outdoor patio, which is on the grounds of the Monmouth Park Racetrack. We kicked off with a rum bucket Kentucky mule cocktails, followed by spring rolls a seaweed salad for starters. Then had a variety of maki rolls. All was tasty, and the music made for a fun night out.
