Just want to start by saying these are DELICIOUS! If youre trying for the first time the strawberry and pbj (if youre not allergic) are must haves. Very solid and satisfying cinnamon sugar and the Nutella one was the right amount of chocolate. Now the only reason I knocked off a star was because the curry salt and takoyaki were w a y too salty. Good flavor but they were hard to enjoy since I felt like I needed a cup... View all feedback.
What Farah F doesn't like about Mochill Mochi Donut:
The matcha was literally the worst one ever, super bitter and grainy, the Nutella and strawberry and taro were okay the black sesame taste like peanut butter and the fruity one had no taste to it, do not recommend lol View all feedback.
Might be nice to list that the Mochi Waffle mix has Wheat Gluten in it!
Wow wow wow! We've been ordering from Mochill Mochi at Adeline Food Hall (formerly Longfellow food hall) for the past year. I don't know how they did it, but they've made their donuts more addictive. My kid used to just lick off the toppings. He ate 2 whole ones (special celebration) this time. Before, I used to feel sweetened-out (happily) with half of one, now I can't not take another bite. There's something for everyone so have fun and explore all the flavors!
Finally got round to stop by, and overall, I had a good experience and loved the great flavors of the icing. My top favorites are mango, yummy without being overly sweet, and matcha, strong tea fragrance! The takoyaki flavor was also delicious, but I think I prefer sweet donuts to savory ones. I really like the strawberry flavor, but I tried it on a cupcake. I agree with other reviews that perhaps the donuts are better than the cupcakes (denser texture in my opinion), which I enjoyed but wasn't truly impressed. I also prefer more icing on my donuts/cupcakes, and the ratio of icing to dough is better on the donuts than on the cupcake. Will come by again the next time I crave mochi donut.
Surprised by how bland these are. I got 7 flavors and the only good one was the Taro. It had that nice donut-y, soft glaze. The rest had hard, flavorless glazes and did not taste fresh at all.
These are not your typical donuts. The texture is slightly chewy, and they're not as sweet. But the flavors and toppings are delightful. If you like mochi, you will love these. And they are decorated beautifully. Very nice presentation. Be sure to go to the front, not to the area where food delivery drivers pick up.
