This was my second visit to Sawarmaji, with my first visit being at a different location. I prefer this spot more; it has more seating, a skylight, and a nice open layout. The food is just as wonderful as I remember, and their garlic sauce for the fries is a must-try! View all feedback.
What Mali Gross dislikes about Shawarmaji:
Dry, greasy, not fresh Shawarma We visited the place twice. Each time the shawarma was not cut fresh from the device but served to us from a storage container. Casual eatery, friendly vibes, accessible menu. I ordered the loaded fries and man are they loaded feeds a party of 3 or more. Generous heaping of protein, pickles and sauce the fries were incredibly crunchy! They are on the salty side and theprotein was fairly dry helps the fries stay crunchy.
This Falafel Pita tastes just like home! I haven't had many in America that remind me of my grandma's cooking, and I almost cried when I took a bite. Definitely get extra toum if you can. The side of pickles brought back so many childhood memories, and the fries were absolutely delicious—perfectly spiced and crispy. This place has become my favorite in the Bay Area. Let's support Palestinian-owned businesses!
This place is always dependable! I could eat their toum every single day! If they had just a chicken and toum option available on DoorDash, I would likely order it three times a week! Do yourself a favor and get a tub of toum with your meal. You'll be amazed at how much better everything tastes with toum!
The prices are a bit high for what you get. Considering the cost of the wrap, I would expect at least one side or for the wrap to be more generously filled. That said, I tried a few of the wraps, and they were good—though they lean on the spicy side. Overall, these shawarma wraps are definitely better than what you can find at other places.
