Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Oak Park

At least 50% of the time I go to this Popeyes for lunch there are huge problems. They rang from waiting upwards of 30 mins, only accepting cash, out of chicken, no one at the actual drive through to take your order, to giving you the wrong order or worse. Avoid this place like the plague.

On the day that I had this Popeyes, I 'd eaten two things. One was a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich, the other was a salad with no protein. To be fair, I cannot be 100% certain but I more than likely got food poisoning from the chicken sandwich. When I called the location the next day just to inform them that I 'd gotten sick, they denied any possible liability and said you probably got it somewhere else, wasn 't here though. I didn 't even finish the sandwich after seeing the center was soft and undercooked.

First a note to ownership, please address the below poor staff issue within this location, there constantly is a wait of over 20 mins in the one way in and one way out drive thru, the staff never handles more than one customer at a time and always seem to have a lack of customer service etiquette. the parking lot has nothing less than 10 extremely large potholes and a drive thru sign that is in need of major upgrading. We the consumer deserve better from upper management. The menu sign indoors has not worked completely since the pandemic so you don't know the pricing of what you are ordering. Come on Popeyes, take care of those who take care of you!

Was super impressed with how busy it was and yet everyone had a smile on their face and laughing and making the energy super positive! Plus order was 100% correct and received the food was hot and fast! Love this location : Also- the manager with the short hair, stellar! Give her a raise!!

Everything!! If sabotage was the game it's been played well, I ordered a 4 piece combo, got the meal ,pulled off ,reached in for the customary fry and no fries. So I pulled over removed the food from the bag and noticed the chicken sitting in oil and oil soaked!! I turn back around to go back and show the attendant and she promptly throws it in the garbage and goes and fixes the new box her self ,still no fries they were out so I opted for Mac and cheese instead. We'll I thanked her went home to eat my dinner only to bite in the worst food I have tasted... the oil the workers cooked the chicken in was burnt!!!, the mac gushy,and the red beans and rice was tasteless. This is not my first run in with this particular store,but I care not go into detail. I believe they can turn it around, but to do so ... you have to care. Food never comes out right if the person cooking it doesn't care. WOW POPEYES!!
