We hosted our wedding reception at El Rancho over the weekend and couldn't be happier. We chose El Rancho in part due to the proximity to the venue (Juniper Mountain House) about 2 miles away, and it's casual with great food. I know reviews are mixed here. We hadn't been back since the reopening last year. Food was good, prime rib and green chili mac n cheese, girlfriend had catfish. No complaints. I always tip in addition to the CHP fee, if it is too expensive for you to eat out maybe stay home and cook instead. EDIT- Had brunch 5-4-24 was excellent.

I am seldom impressed with wedding food, but I can say I was very impressed with the Fried Chicken, Brisket, and Vegetarians Shepherds Pie. In fact, many of the guest commented how great each of those dishes were. To top it off, the hosts (Cap Main Bartender, Maggie I believe the coordinator), were absolutely great. I would recommend this as an event space or just a great place to eat grab a drink at.
