What Nan T dislikes about Casa Tequilas:
The restaurant imposes a 3.9% service charge on all debit and credit card transactions, which is against Colorado state law. A debit card should be treated like cash and shouldn’t incur an additional fee. Although Jeff, the manager, tried to assist me during my visit, I won't be returning because I believe these charges are unwarranted. They should be considered part of the operating costs and are tax-deductible. View all feedback.

We were seated quickly and received some chips, but then we waited 25 minutes without a drink order or any server greeting us. I was hoping for some cold water to go with the chips and salsa, or at least some napkins, but we got nothing. Four different servers glanced our way but hurried past us as if they didn't know whose table we were or didn't want to engage with us. Eventually, I had to ask a random server who was rushing by to find someone to take our order. He seemed either annoyed or confused. I ordered drinks but insisted that we place a food order with him since we needed to leave for the play soon. Finally, our waters arrived, but without straws. It took another ten minutes to get our mixed drinks, and we had to ask again for straws. I also requested napkins from another server, but every time I asked, they forgot to bring anything. Whenever someone brought us something, they hurried away before we could ask for anything else. It was quite obnoxious and distracting, as the servers were all running around the restaurant. Multiple servers asked if we needed help; we said no and never saw them again. Our original server finally returned to ask if we wanted more chips, which we never received. He apologized for the wait on our food, but I wasn't sure what bothered me more—the terrible service or the 45-minute wait for our meals. After we finally got our food, we only had about five minutes to eat before needing to leave for the show, meaning we couldn’t take any leftovers with us. To top it off, our food order was incorrect. Our server had not written anything down and had tried to remember our order, which obviously went awry. We were charged more than what we ordered, but I didn't have time to sort that out, as we would miss our play. I wasn't too concerned about a $5 difference, but we still didn’t get our silverware until after the food was served, despite asking for it multiple times. There were no drink refills offered; I would have ordered more alcohol if anyone had bothered to check on us. Overall, the service was abysmal, and the kitchen was no better. The food was decent and reasonably priced, but the experience was overshadowed by the terrible service, including not being greeted for 25 minutes, no drinks until 35 minutes in, and a 45-50 minute wait for the food. We were also deprived of napkins, straws, and any attentive service. It was an awful experience. I would only recommend this place if you have plenty of spare time and don’t mind chasing down servers. Both the front of house and kitchen staff need significant training. This visit was my first and last time here.

Charged for first order of salsa and chips, paid $2 for onions on a tostada, and the refried beans were like thick water.
