Was Anonym at Gypsy Hideout a mag?
Cute cafe with a great menu. I ordered the 'beans and cheese' option for brunch. It was a delicious tortilla containing scrambled eggs, guacamole, tomato, cheese and beans - topped with sour cream. Very satisfying, very filling. Decent coffee. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Gypsy Hideout:
The waitress was very attentive and did a great job, but the rest of the staff were a bit less attentive. When the food came out it was a bit basic & we were underwhelmed. However the vibe of the cafe is good, with nice decour and located in a good part of northcote. View all feedback.

I met up with a lovely friend here and booked through another platform that tripadvisor. Was told with 24 hours I had a seat but didn't really need it. We sat in the window with warm June sun on our backs and two hours flew by. I just had sour dough with jam but my friend had beans and cheese which was fantastic. I tried the aerospace coffee - interesting but not for me but know many of my friends would love it. The staff - fantastic. Jacob from Vermont USA was great but others took over and were equally brilliant. Toilets clean and unisex (more places should go that). Wheelchair and kid friendly. Summer out the back in the courtyard would be great especially with little ones. Prices reasonable. Parking in a Sunday easy but at other times be careful. Wish I could add all the extra photos do will post on Instagram. Highly recommend

Really disappointing. The service was outrageously slow. It was a quiet Saturday morning. We asked for water as soon as we arrived, received water 20 minutes later, and menus and glasses after another 10 minutes. When we finally ordered, everyone received their drinks except for me who was forgotten about. We weren't able to ask about the missing drink for another 30 minutes until we were finally checked on. An hour after we ordered, our food finally arrived (disgraceful). Although when 5 of the 6 diners were almost finished eating, it became apparent that the last meal (also mine) had been forgotten as well. When we asked about the meal, it was on the computer but the staff had no idea why it hadn't been made and had not even realised that one of us were still waiting for a meal. Cancelled the order and received no apologies. It was a quiet day, maybe 5 other diners, and there was really no excuse for the lack of attentiveness and the extremely slow wait times. We arrived at 11, didn't receive our food until 12.30, had a meal and drink forgotten about, and absolutely no response from the staff. The only saving grace was that apparently, not that I would know, when the meals did arrive, they tasted good, but it just was not worth the wait.

We were extremely hungry and almost considered eating each other after waiting for our meals for almost an hour.

I am a big fan of Gypsy Hideout and I find it surprising that it doesn't have more good reviews.
